El workshop RGB+Depth es una introducción para personas que trabajan con vídeo y cine y para programadores creativos a la creación de películas con Kinect y camaras DSLR. Usaremos RGBDToolkit, una herramienta multi-plataforma (windows+osx) de código libre para calibrar, capturar y visualizar información 3D proveniente de Kinect combinado con video HD para crear un híbrido único de vídeo y gráficos 3D. El workshop tendrá una duración de dos días. El primero aprenderemos el workflow RGBD mediante una sesión práctica que va desde el montaje de la cámara y la calibración hasta técnicas de grabación y renderizado. El segundo día usaremos el material capturado el día anterior, programadores de openFrameworks trabajaran en equipo con diseñadores y videocreadores con el código de RGBDToolkit. Juntos crearemos nuevas formas de expresión mezclando las capturas con efectos generativos.

The RGB+Depth workshop introduces videographers and creative coders to filmmaking with Kinect and DSLR. We will show how to use the new RGBDToolkit, an open source and cross platform (windows+osx) system for calibrating, capturing, and visualizing Kinect data combined with HD video creating a unique hybrid of video and 3d graphics. The workshop will be two days. The first we'll learn the RGBD workflow hands on, from camera mounting and calibration to shooting and rendering techniques. The second day we will use the data captured from the day before, openFrameworks hackers will pair up with designers and videographers to dig into the RGBDToolkit code. Together we'll create new expressive ways of remixing data with generative and dynamic effects.

Participants should try to bring a OS X or Windows Laptop and a Tripod with their cameras.
Intended for audiovisual artists and filmmakers as well as software programmers, there is no coding experience necessary to take the workshop!
